HOT, HOT and VERY HOT was talk of the day and the racing at the Nissan Series Finale also did not disappoint.
This past weekend just North of Hartebeespoort Dam in the North West Province, the scene was set for what was the season finale of the Nissan series race.
This past weekend saw the crème of the Della crème of Mountain biking assemble for a first place purse of R 60 000, the winners of the Men and Ladies category at the MTN Crater Cruise 2010 would be well rewarded. The event organisers had set a challenging 103km course with flowing single-track and fantastic facilities to compliment an already well attended event.
Everything was in place for the popular Silverstar Mountain Bike Classic, the West Rand’s signature mountain bike event held on Saturday the 11th of September.
Many had expected the weather to be a whole lot worse at the Medscheme Walkerville MTB Race, it was warmer than usual for that time of year and there was a good feeling in the air as all the participants started to arrive. It was clear that Medscheme had pulled no punches,branding everywhere as usual.
